Operational Assessment

A structured review of how your nonprofit runs day to day — from committee handovers to reporting rhythms and volunteer intake.

Operational Assessment

Who this is for

Executive directors and volunteer boards of incorporated associations, charities registered with the ACNC, and community foundations with fewer than thirty paid staff. The assessment suits organisations that have grown past informal routines but have not yet invested in documented operations.

What you receive

Over three to five weeks we interview key people, observe a committee meeting if possible, and review the documents that actually govern your work — not the policy binder nobody opens. You receive a written report with a visual process map, a ranked list of operational risks, and practical templates where gaps exist.

How it unfolds

  1. Scoping call — we confirm objectives, access to documents, and interview list.
  2. Discovery — interviews and document review, typically two on-site half-days.
  3. Draft findings — shared with the executive for factual check before the board sees them.
  4. Final report and presentation — delivered to the board with time for questions.
